Hey everyone, it’s been a long time since I posted, I think Ben Nevis was my last one! Over the winter period, I never really done much which meant I never really had anything to post about. This caused a lack of motivation to write anything. Over that period I started to focus on work and the gym. I know it’s late but I hope you all had a lovey Christmas and New Year! Suzanne and I have now arrived safely in Australia and ready to begin our 5 week ‘express’ tour as our Australian adventure continues. I call it ‘express’ purely because we’re only spending a couple days here and a few days there. Opposed to last time where we spent a significant length of time in places. Now that we’re back, it honestly doesn’t feel like we left.
What Made Us Return?
The simple answer is… unfinished business. Although we spent 9 months in Australia last time, we never done everything we wanted to. Whether that was because we just never got round to it, couldn’t afford it or a cyclone had hit, the excuses vary. However, this time we’re going to visit a whole lot of new places and revisit some others along the way. Not to mention, Australia is such a beautiful and unique country.
Our Current Situation
We landed in Brisbane at 06:15 yesterday morning. After clocking up a cracking 22.6km of walking, we got ourselves an early bed. We caught the Greyhound at 07:30 and are currently headed towards Hervey Bay. Absolutely buzzing to see Billy and Jorzae that I used to work with! Gutted I’ll not see everyone, we’re there for under 24 hours before we get the bus to Airlie Beach tomorrow.
I’ll keep it short for this post. There will be plenty more to come over the next few weeks as the Australian adventure truly begins. Remember to subscribe to receive all the updates direct to your inbox! It would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers for reading,
Alzo
